Rubaba Muradova

Rubaba Muradova was born on 22nd of March in 1933 in Ardabil and died on 28th of August in 1983 in Baku. Khanende, the Popular artist finished Seyid Shushinki’s class in the Azerbaijan State Music school.

She had a very fascinating, wide diapason of voice and original style of performing. Rubaba Muradova was soloist of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater.

Leyli (in “Leyli and Majnun” by Uzeyir Hajibeyov), Asli (in “Asli and Karam” by Uzeyir Hajibeyov), Shahsenem (in “Ashyg Garib” by Z.Hajibeyov), Senem (in “Gelin gayasy” by Sh.Akhundova) were the characters which Rubaba Muradova played on stage. She was master performer of mugams, tasnifs and folk songs.
