Gulustan Aliyeva
Gulustan Hasan gyzy Aliyeva was born in Yevlakh on 8 April 1967. She has been keen on music since childhood. During her school years in Yevlakh, her father attracted her and her sisters to music.
She obtained musical education at the Pioneer House. After she became a winner of the Republican Young Talent Contests in 1981, she was sent to study at the Secondary Special Music School named after Bulbul in Baku, in 1982. In the same year, she was the first student and the first leaver of the mugham classes opened at the State Conservatoire.
In 1990, she graduated from the Conservatoire with excellence, in 1995-1996, she was the soloist of the Mugham theater and since 1997 she has been the soloist of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. For the first time, she played the role of Majnun’s mother in Leyli and Majnun, Leyli in Leyli and Majnun, Shahsanam in Ashiq Gerib, Erebzengi in Shah Ismayil, Senem in Gelin Gayasi, Jahan in Arshin mal alan, Senem in O olmasin, bu olsun, a singer girl in Natavan. She is teaching at the National Conservatoire and Art Gymnasium. Since 2005, she is an honored artist.
