Work of young Azerbaijani composer living in New York presented
Work of young Azerbaijani composer living in New York Turkar Gasimzade “White space for all the snow” (“Espacio blanco para toda la nieve”) was presented.
The event also held a concert featuring works of young composers studying in different US music academies, according to the Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Ministry.
Turkar Gasimzade, graduate of the Baku Music Academy, received his master’s degree in Manhattan Music Academy in 2011. Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate at the Cincinnati Conservatory in Ohayo with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The composer has received highest prizes at competitions held in the US, Italy, Switzerland, Latvia and Australia. (AzerTAj)
