Sari Gelin historical documentary film presented
On 12 June, the International Mugam Centre hosted a presentation of Sari Gelin historical documentary film, produced by Ankaf company.
The presentation ceremony involved government representatives, MPs and famous culture and art figures.
Creative crew of the film was invited to the stage during the event which was organized with the support of the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry, TURKSOY and Guven Clinic.
Addressing the event Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev said this project was a response to those attacking the Azerbaijani culture. This projects proves once again that folk song Sari Gelin (Yellow Bride) belongs to the Azerbaijani people.
Besides Azerbaijan, shootings of the film were held also in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other countries.
Folklore groups representing Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian republics of Bashkortostan and Khakassia and Gagauz people in Moldova performed Sari Gelin in their native language with folk instruments at the event.
Then the document was presented. The film’s chief producer is Nazim Abdullayev, the scriptwriter is Idris Heydarli and director is Rovshan Nijat. (AzerTAj)
