'Moscow soloists' perform Khojaly mourning song in Gabala

Mugam RadioOn 2 August, another grandiose concert was held in an open air as part of the Gabala IV International Music Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

In accordance with the festival's program, Moscow Soloists chamber orchestra together with famous piano, tar and violoncello players first performed Khojaly mourning song, written exclusively for the Gabala IV International Festival by art director of the Moscow State Philharmonic, Russian People's Artist, composer Alexander Tchaikovsky.

The musical work presented for the first time and performed professionally aroused keen interest among the audience. The concert led by art director and chief conductor of the New Russia State Symphonic Orchestra, founder of the Moscow Soloists chamber orchestra Yuri Bashmet, features performances of Azerbaijani People's Artist Farhad Badalbayli (piano), famous violoncello player Dmitry Yablonsky and Honored Artist, tar player Sahib Pashazada.

In the second part of the concert, the musicians performed works by W.A. Mozart, T. Takemitsu, I. Stravinsky, J. Benda, A. Vivaldi and A. Schnittke.

The performances of musicians were welcomed with applauses. (AzerTAj)
